Specifically designed to help children socialise in a group while enhancing their judgement and creative skills

Our IJCC takes place during the early part of the evening; ensuring children who can’t reach their own school chess club do not miss the opportunity to join the exciting sessions we host after school.

How
IJCC Works

Ours IJCC enables students to learn and compete in a friendly and creative atmosphere. We challenge every level of player to think outside the box and to look twice before making a crucial decision – just like real life.

1

Choose between one of our current Independent Junior Chess Clubs.

2

Classes are built around different subjects depending on the level. Students will experience exercises and competitions – answering questions along the way.

3

Watch, Listen, Learn, and Participate. Your LCA coach will demonstrate ideas, tactics, strategies, and patterns while displaying each position on-screen.

4

Rewards. At the end of the course, we host our famous ‘sweets tournament’, while beautiful Jade Glass Trophies are awarded to the overall Winner of the term and Most Improved Player. We also provide Medals for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place. Certificates are given out to everyone for completing all sessions.

Benefits of The
IJCC

Children will have lots of fun along the way – helping them with their academic studies through the creativity that chess instinctively harnesses.

Our Current
IJCC Timetable

Students from 4 yrs old upwards can join any of our IJCC. Each Club caters to students of all levels and is based on the ability of the student, not the age. Times vary depending on your location.
